Album Art for "I hope we get a chance to visit soon"

Project Description

This is the second cover design I’ve worked on for composer Michael Hersch. I hope we get a chance to visit soon is the companion piece to his monodrama, On the Threshold of Winter, and follows those same threads of cancer and loss into new territory.

Hersch built the work’s libretto around email exchanges with his close friend, Mary O’Reilly, from the time they were both undergoing cancer treatment. She unfortunately did not recover. As with the musical language, we used these emails as a foundation for the visual language of the album art.
