New music: solo flute
PEYOTEDANCE
Tim Holt

Finally had a chance to lay down this flute piece and edit it. A big thanks goes out to the flautist, Andrew Foley, for enjoying the piece enough to hold onto it. The piece itself was written in collaboration between the flute and composition studios at Peabody Conservatory last spring and represents my attempt at a piece that incorporates different levels (Levels, Jerry!) or planes of activity. If you listen carefully to follow the sporadic notes you’ll start to notice as they begin to move around on their distinct planes (low, medium, and high in the register). The piece ends in a feat of enormous breath control.
